Illustration Friday: Voices (some more important than others)

December 23, 2008 at 12:48 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | 5 Comments

Stars are like voices to me. Seems they each have their own story to tell.

This is just a quick scan of a newspaper article circa 1977…finding my own voice…certainly not as important as the star I wrote about (but I was so surprised and happy to win, and I remember that the first and second place winners were 11 and 12 year olds. My teacher turned these in to the newspaper without telling us she was going to do it). We weren’t a big church-going family then, but I did feel a testimony growing in my heart. I remember being dropped off at church once at Christmas time, and getting to paint a little wooden ornament of the three wisemen.
Off to see my little guys at their class party! Merry Christmas, everyone!
