Top 25 Movies…

December 10, 2007 at 11:41 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | 4 Comments

The ever-awesome David Sones, a.k.a. PICKLEDOG tagged me last week, and with my uncle’s funeral and dad’s doctor appointments, etc, I am just getting to it.

Basically, I am a sucker for 1.really funny movies (or ones with funny one-liners even if the story stinks) and 2.really sappy, believable ones. I am drawn to the “dream, struggle, victory” theme, and I love pulling for the underdog. Here goes the list off the top of my head– in random order:

1. Napoleon Dynamite

2. The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio (great scene where the mom and daughter are sitting having a Coke while their car gets fixed)

3. It’s a Wonderful Life

4. Better Off Dead

5. Erin Brokevich

6. Raising Arizona

7. Trapped in Paradise

8. Million Dollar Baby

9. Miss Potter

10. Elf

11. The Jerk

12. Monty Python’s Holy Grail

13. Tommy Boy

14. Waterboy

15. Happy Gilmore

16. Meet the Parents

17. Sam I Am

18. Rudy

19. The Music Man 🙂

20. Field of Dreams

21. Mary Poppins

22. Finding Neverland

23. Peter Pan

24. Bambi

….oh no! only one to go—

25. Big Fish

EEK! Now I have to tag five people, which is always hard after you wait to post because these things spread like wildfire and everyone will probably already have been tagged.  I’ll give it a shot!
